I am so excited to post this brand I’ve been working on for the past two months. I say brand because it technically IS a brand, but it’s also more of a gift in the form of a logo and a pattern.
Let me back up:
I love vintage china. I loved my grandmother’s china, and my great-grandmother’s china, and so for my wedding, mismatched vintage patterns seemed like the natural way to go. Back in May, I got an email from Business Boom Bolton ( a pro British designers/creators blog) illuminating me to the wonderment that is Queen of Hearts Crockery over in England. It’s amazing. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted and MORE. I’m definitely seeing how much they would charge to schlep everything over here. It’s that gorgeous.
But the brand isn’t all it needs to be, and if you’re Jenny Ambrose and you love design as much (okay more so) than you love your china patterns, then you get to making a charming logo and an elaborate floral pattern to go along with it.
For two months I spent working on this William Morris-esque pattern, but I finally felt it perfect enough to deliver over to the Queen of Hearts herself! I can’t wait to hear her reaction!
