I don’t usually like to show my clients’ inspiration until I’m well within their design stages. Sometimes it’s about secrecy, most times it’s about respect, but this time it has to do with “jinxing” the project in anyway.
Good LORD this is some juicylicious inspiration I am sharing with you today!
Truth be told, as soon as we had our initial consult with this client I was drooling over her inspiration. Mentally designing for her before she even signed a contract. The no-no things. But it could. not. be. helped.
Now I’m not saying I want every client to hand me this inspiration, not even close– I mean, it has been forever since I’d seen inspiration so luscious (the original queen of lusciousness title goes right here).
What I mainly love is how crystal freakin clear her style is. Instantly I knew which typefaces to look for (serifs and Alejandro Paul scripts! Obviously!), the color palette could not be more direct, and I even knew which style of flourishes would match and which ones would never hold up! That’s a supreme level of detail right there.
When things sing that loudly, it’ll usually provide a clear road to awesome town; which it did.
We’re currently mid-design rounds and I’m almost sad to see it end! When clients know their styles (and how that style works for branding purposes) it makes for an extremely easy working relationship, and I’m so excited to see where she’ll take her new branding.
Oh, and did I mention she’s a Burlesque dancer? Oh I didn’t?!
SO much amazing!
(p.s. I sent this inspiration to another client of mine who exclaimed “YOU LUCKY BITCH!”. Gotta love that. All of that.)
